Painting portraits of places began when I painted homes that were special to family and friends.

As a member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour and the Ontario Genealogical Society, these commissions have particular appeal for me.

Each painting records a little bit of history in the form of original artwork --- an image with special significance. When possible, I paint on location; otherwise, from photos.
